Availability
Jacob Webb has agreed to a one-year contract that includes a club option for 2027 with the Chicago Cubs.
Fantasy Impact
The 32-year-old Webb has put together a solid career since coming up in 2019 with the Atlanta Braves. Entering his seventh season in 2026, the Cubs will be Webb's fifth different team. The righthander has pitched to a 2.99 career ERA in 247 games, striking out 244 batters in 253 innings while limiting opponents to a .211 batting average. He went 5-4 last season with the Texas Rangers, posting a 3.00 ERA in 55 games. Webb will be a solid addition to the Cubs' bullpen but, more than likely, won't be fantasy relevant unless holds are a category.
The Texas Rangers activated Jacob Webb from the 15-day injured list on Thursday.

The Texas Rangers placed Jacob Webb on the 15-day IL on Wednesday, retroactive to July 29.
Fantasy Impact
Webb started feeling back spasms during his July 28 outing against the Los Angeles Angels. With no improvement over the last couple of days, he has been placed on the injured list. In a corresponding move, Luis Curvelo has been called up from Triple-A Round Rock.
Jacob Webb worked around one hit and one walk in a scoreless inning on Monday against the Rockies for a save.
Fantasy Impact
It was the first save on the season for Webb with Luke Jackson unavailable.
The Rangers signed Jacob Webb to a one-year deal.
Fantasy Impact
Webb was non-tendered by the Orioles last month. He'll hold a middle relief role in the Rangers bullpen.
