Jacob Webb picks up save Friday

Jacob Webb tossed a scoreless ninth inning in Friday’s 3-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals to pick up his ninth save of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Webb allowed a leadoff single to Ivan Herrera but retired the next three batters to secure the save. He has now gone 21 straight appearances without allowing a run and continues to make a strong case to remain the Chicago Cubs’ closer once Daniel Palencia (elbow) returns from the injured list. He owns a 2.33 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 61 strikeouts across 54 innings on the year.
