Jake Mangum went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI on Sunday as the Pirates hung on for an 8-6 win over the Rockies.
Fantasy Impact
Mangum had two singles and a double for his third three-hit performance of the month. The speedy outfielder is batting .375 (21-for-56) with five doubles, four RBI, and five steals in 17 games this month. Overall, Mangum is slashing .306/.353/.369 with one home run, 13 RBI, and 13 stolen bases in 58 games this season.
Jake Mangum went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a stolen base on Saturday as the Pirates defeated the Marlins, 3-2.
Fantasy Impact
Mangum stole his 13th base of the season on Saturday, moving him into a tie for 10th in the National League. Mangum has been on a heater, batting .386 (17-for-44) with seven stolen bases over his last 15 games. He stole 27 bases as a rookie in Tampa last season, but he is taking aim at that number despite playing only 51 games so far this year. He is quickly becoming a mainstay in the Pirates' lineup and, if you are in need of a cheap source of steals, Mangum could be your guy.
Jake Mangum went 4-for-5 with a run scored and a pair of stolen bases on Tuesday, helping the Pirates to a 10-6 victory over the Astros.
Fantasy Impact
All four of Mangum's hits were singles, marking the first time this season - third time in his career - that he recorded four hits in a game. It was also the first time this year that he had more than one stolen base in a game and he is now 10-for-11 in theft attempts on the season. Mangum is 8-for-12 over his last three games, raising his season average from .247 to .294 in the process. He won't help in the power department but, as long as he's getting playing time, Mangum should be a cheap source for a solid average and steals.
Jake Mangum went 3-for-4 with his first home run of the season on Saturday, helping the Pirates to a 10-9 win over the Twins.
Fantasy Impact
Mangum took Twins' starter, Bailey Ober, deep with one out in the second for his first home run in a Pirates' uniform. It was his first homer since last September 24 and was just his fourth career blast in 158 career games. Mangum also stole his seventh base of the season on Saturday, but just his second in May. Mangum entered the game hitting just .185 (5-for-27) with no extra-base hits during the month and had seen his playing time decrease as a result. Overall, he's hitting .267 with a home run and eight RBI in 40 games this season.
Jake Mangum had one hit in three trips to the plate and also stole a base on Sunday, helping the Pirates to a 4-1 win in Toronto.
Fantasy Impact
Since a short stint on the injured list earlier this month, Mangum is 4-for-18 (.222) with two RBI and a stolen base in six contests. His stolen base on Sunday was his sixth of the year, which ranks third on the team. Overall, he is hitting .253 with five RBI in 36 games played. He offers very little in the power department as only two of his 23 hits - both doubles - have gone for extra bases.
