RP - Chicago White Sox
Jimmy Lambert pitched one inning, allowing one hit, and registering two strikeouts to earn his first win of the season Tuesday.
Lambert has appeared in 23 games this season, posting a 2.97 ERA, .212 OBA, and a 2.07 K/BB ratio. His season long numbers are a bit deceiving though, as he has a 5.68 ERA in his last seven outings. Lambert is best left on the waiver wire.
Jimmy Lambert started in place of the injured Lucas Giolito Thursday. He allowed two earned runs in three innings of work, allowing two hits, a walk with one strikeout.
Lambert allowed a two-run home run to Jarred Kelenic in the second inning. Otherwise, he pitched fine. However, the White Sox southpaw is not a recommended streaming option even if he does get another spot start next week.
Jimmy Lambert (0-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four across three 1/3 innings during Game 2 of Monday’s 3-1 loss to Cleveland. He was tagged with his first loss of the season.
Lambert started Game 2 of Monday’s doubleheader and it was his third big-league appearance this season. He allowed three runs before being removed after 74 pitches. Lambert was sent back down to Triple-A Charlotte once Game 2 of Monday’s doubleheader was completed. The 26-year-old owns a 7.36 ERA and a 2.18 WHIP across three 2/3 innings in 2021.
Jimmy Lambert landed on the 10-day IL with a right forearm strain.
Lambert had two relief appearances so far this year for the ChiSox, throwing two scoreless innings and striking out a pair. He was coming off Tommy John surgery entering this season so the team will likely play this extra cautious. He could be out for quite a while.
