Jean Segura went 2-for-3 with a solo home run on Tuesday against the Marlins.
Segura has only played a few games since returning fromt the IL but he looks to be finding his sea legs. He had three hits in his last game, followed by two more and the home run here. Segura was having a respectable season before going down with a fractured finger, and is a decent, low-end, five-category contributor when healthy. Those in deeper leagues in need of a middle infielder should roster and start Segura with little hesitation.
Jean Segura was reinstated from the 60-day IL Thursday.
Segura has not played in a game with the Phillies since May 31st where he fractured his right index finger. Prior to landing on the IL, Segura posted a .275/.324/.407 slash line with six home runs, 19 RBIs, and eight stolen bases. If the 32-year-old can remain healthy, he is a solid fantasy option moving forward.
Jean Segura is set to complete his rehab assignment Wednesday and be activated Thursday in Philadelphia.
