Luplow is struggling in 2021 with seven home runs, 12 runs, and 20 RBI with a .173 batting average and .769 OPS in 121 plate appearances. He's not fantasy-relevant outside of AL-only leagues.

The severity is unknown, but between Luplow, Franmil Reyes (abdominal), Zach Plesac (thumb), and Amed Rosario (hand), the injury bug appears to be taking a toll on a Cleveland team that had been fairly healthy throughout the first eight weeks of the season. Luplow himself has slashed .165/.325/.433 to open the year. Oustide of a lack of base hits, he has seen the ball well (21 walks to 31 strikeouts) and posted an impressive load of power (seven home runs). He's also plated 20 runs.
