José Altuve collects hit in win

José Altuve finished 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact

Altuve had another solid if unspectacular day at the dish. His power has been a nice revelation this month, slashing .270/.330/.517 with four home runs, six doubles, two triples, 14 RBIs, two stolen bases and only 10 strikeouts in 89 at-bats so far. This, after Altuve batted .326/.402/.472 with three home runs, eight RBIs, seven stolen bases and 23 strikeouts in exactly 89 at-bats in April. Either way, it's hard to imagine his fantasy owners complaining about the stud second baseman's production.

Jose Altuve drives in the only run on Monday

Jose Altuve went 1-for-4 with a strikeout and an RBI-double that scored the game's only run as the Astros beat the Tigers 1-0 on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

Looking at Altuve's numbers as a whole, all of his owners are enjoying his 2017 season. In the month of May, Altuve has failed to reach base only once (May 3rd against Texas) and has hit safely in every game in May except three. He is as consistent as they come, and his value couldn't be higher in any format.

Jose Altuve rips a home run in loss to Cleveland

Jose Altuve went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run off of Indians starter Danny Salazar. The Astros fell to the Indians 8-6.

Fantasy Impact

Altuve hit his seventh home run on the season, showing that his decent power numbers from 2016 were no fluke. With a batting average over .300 (currently at .307) Altuve is a must start in every format.

Jose Altuve drives in three runs against the Marlins

Jose Altuve went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a two-run single as the Astros beat the Marlins 7-2.

Fantasy Impact

After a rough Sunday in which Altuve went 1-for-9 in a double-header against the Yankees, he quickly turned it around in Miami. With the ability to hit for average, power as well as being a demon on the base-paths, Altuve is one of, if not the best second baseman in fantasy baseball.

Jose Altuve goes 1-for-9 in Sunday's doubleheader

Jose Altuve went just 1-for-9 in Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees, though he did score two runs.

Fantasy Impact

Altuve is having a solid fantasy season, but his .286 batting average is significantly below his career mark of .310. The rest of his numbers are all generally in line with his career numbers, so expect Altuve to once again challenge for the top spot in fantasy rankings.
