Josh Rojas left Saturday's game after getting hit by a pitch on his left hand during his first at-bat. The Diamondbacks are calling it a left hand contusion.
It's been a rough start for Rojas, who already missed the first few weeks of the season due to an oblique strain. The timing is rough also, as he was coming off a 3-HR game. It sounds like the injury isn't too serious so consider him day-to-day for now. Hopefully, he'll be able to avoid another trip to the IL.
Arizona Diamondbacks 3B Josh Rojas went 3-for-5 at the plate on Friday, hitting three home runs, and striking out once in the Diamondbacks' 10-6 win over the Cubs.
Rojas dominated at the plate on Friday as he hit his first home run of the year, as well as his second, and third as the third basemen dominated the Cubs. The fourth year third basemen seemed unable to hit a homer to begin the year but came out in a big way on Friday as he remains batting a strong. 289 on the season and now has his three home runs.
Arizona Diamondbacks 3B Josh Rojas went 1-for-3 at the plate on Thursday, hitting a RBI single, and walking once in the Diamondbacks' 3-1 win over the Cubs.
Rojas is in the ECR in the range as a player who can be rostered but is difficult to justify at the moment with a low OPS of .617 and just three RBI on the season. The third basemen is batting .250 on the season and is not worth rostering unless he can step it up at the plate on a more consistent basis.
Arizona Diamondbacks 3B Josh Rojas went 1-for-3 at the plate on Monday, hitting a RBI sac fly along with a single, and striking out once in the Diamondbacks' 5-4 loss to the Dodgers.
Rojas is certainly not worth rostering at the moment as he has only two RBI on the season and a OPS of .565. The utility man is more useful in real time baseball for the team than for managers in fantasy.
Arizona Diamondbacks 3B Josh Rojas went 1-for-3 at the plate on Friday, hitting a single, walking once, and crossing the plate for a run in the Diamondbacks' 4-1 win over the Rockies.
The third basemen made his first appearance of the season and it was average as he provided some offence but it was nothing to write home about. With this being just Rojas' first game he should not be rostered unless he sees increased time behind the plate.
