Kendrys Morales collects two more hits on Saturday

Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Angels, raising his average to .254 on the season.

Fantasy Impact

It was the third consecutive two-hit game for Morales, after putting together just one multi-hit performance in his first 14 games. Morales is a pretty good bet for 25 HRs, but one question entering the season was whether that power would come with the .290 average he put up in 2015 or the .263 average he produced last year. Based on his career averages, the answer likely lies somewhere in between.

Kendrys Morales belts solo homer on Thursday

Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 with a solo home run on Thursday, accounting for the Blue Jays' only run in a 4-1 loss to the Red Sox.

Fantasy Impact

Morales isn't exactly off to a hot start, but his three home runs lead all Blue Jays hitters in the early going. The multi-hit game was just his second of the young season.

Kendrys Morales goes hitless on Wednesday

Kendrys Morales went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout against the Red Sox on Wednesday, dropping his batting average to .212.

Fantasy Impact

Morales hasn't delivered much for his fantasy owners so far in 2017. He should eventually round into form, but his fantasy value is largely tied to run production, so he'll need his teammates to improve too if he's going to be an impact player in fantasy leagues.

Kendrys Morales quiet again on Thursday

Kendrys Morales went 0-for-2 on Thursday, but did draw two walks.

Fantasy Impact

Like most Blue Jays hitters, Morales hasn't done much at the plate so far in 2017, outside of a grand slam he hit on April 6. A big part of Morales' fantasy appeal heading into the season was his move to a more favorable hitting environment, but it hasn't paid off yet with the entire Toronto lineup struggling. He is a proven commodity who should be fine in the long run, but with Josh Donaldson reportedly heading to the disabled list, Morales may see fewer RBI opportunities in the short term.

Kendrys Morales hits grand slam

Kendrys Morales was 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Rays.

Fantasy Impact

Morales has been hitting plenty of long fly balls to start this season, but this one managed to fly 444 feet and bring in four runs. He's poised for a big season in 2017.
