Kerry Carpenter (shoulder) has been placed on the 10-day injured list by the Detroit Tigers according to Evan Petzold.

Carpenter suffered a left shoulder sprain after making contact with the outfield wall in Kansas City against the Royals Saturday. In a corresponding move the Tigers recalled Gage Workman from Triple-A Toledo to fill Carpenter’s roster spot.
