Eligibility
Luis Guillorme was placed on the 10-day IL Monday with a groin injury that is expected to sideline him for 3-4 weeks.
Fantasy Impact
A tough break for the Mets who will be without the versatile infielder for the next few weeks. He is slashing .283/.355/.357 with two home runs, 11 doubles, and 14 RBIs in 86 games this season. Fantasy managers can safely move on and look for a replacement option.
Luis Guillorme went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a solo home run on Monday against the Braves.
Fantasy Impact
Guillorme is hardly a home run hitter, as this was just his second of the year, but it came at an opportune time. He'll likely see some additional playing time this week with Jeff McNeil on the paternity list and Starling Marte battling an injury, so he's a decent DFS play because he'll come so cheap. In season-long leagues, however, fantasy managers can ignore him despite his .309 batting average.
Luis Guillorme went 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored batting leadoff for the Mets on Saturday against the Phillies.
Fantasy Impact
Guillorme draws the occasional start but was batting leadoff on Saturday with Brandon Nimmo nursing a sore wrist. He's hardly been known for his bat in his career but he is batting .352 this year with a .451 slugging percentage. He's worth a look in NL-only leagues and would probably get exposed with more playing time, but he is worth keeping on your watch list in case his breakout is real.
Luis Guillorme led off Saturday's contest with a homerun off Washington starter Josiah Gray. He finished the spring training game 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI as the Mets won, 6-2.
Fantasy Impact
Guillorme was a serviceable bat in 2021, and he carved out a role as a quality utility infielder. Offseason acquisitions for the Mets will make it difficult for him to get regular at bats though, as the Mets have a deep lineup. Escobar, Lindor, and McNeil would all be ahead of him in the pecking order.
Mets' infielder Luis Guillorme will begin his rehab assignment on Thursday with Triple-A Syracuse.
Fantasy Impact
After being placed on the injured list at the beginning of August with a hamstring strain, it looks like the versatile Guillorme will begin his road back to the major league squad on Thursday. However, with the return of fellow infielder Francisco Lindor to the Mets, Guillorme will likely have limit playing time, and as such, limited fantasy impact when he returns to the major league roster.
