Fantasy Impact
Straw replaced an injured Daulton Varsho early in Friday's game and went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and an additional run scored in his three trips to the plate. At-bats have been few and far between for the veteran for the Blue Jays this season, but Straw has still managed to go 8-for-20 (.400) with a double, a homer, and a walk with just two strikeouts across 21 trips to the plate. Straw slashed .262/.313/.367 with four home runs — tying his career high — and 12 steals in 13 attempts across 299 plate appearances last season and will be on Toronto's Opening Day roster. He joins Daulton Varsho, George Springer, Addison Barger, Jesus Sanchez and Nathan Lukes as confirmed outfielders on the 26-man roster, with Davis Schneider still competing for the final bench spot.

Straw offers a platoon option in center field for Varsho, but his primary role in 2026 is expected to be as a pinch runner and late-inning defensive replacement.
