Austin Slater will be designated for assignment to make room for Morabito.
Morabito hit .273/.348/.385 with six home runs and 48 stolen bases across 491 plate appearances at Double-A Binghamton in 2025, playing the entire season at that level. New York protected him from the Rule 5 Draft this winter by adding him to the 40-man roster.
