Rikuu Nishida was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Nishida has not been able to get much of anything going at the plate since originally being elevated to the big-league roster a couple of weeks ago, going 7-for-29 (.241 AVG) with no walks or extra-base hits. The 25-year-old rookie will now head back to the minors, as highly-touted prospect Braden Montgomery has been called up to make his debut.
The White Sox recalled Rikuu Nishida from Triple-A Nashville.
