The outfielder also played in the 2023 Futures Game. He made his major league debut last season and batted .225 with four home runs in 147 plate appearances with the Rockies. Fernandez hit .284 with 13 home runs with Triple-A Albuquerque a year ago and is a lifetime .279 hitter with 77 home runs in five minor league seasons. Fernandez is still an intriguing prospect with good power and should have no problem finding a new organization in the near future.
