Agnos continues a strong stretch of late, holding opponents scoreless in seven of his last eight trips to the mound. The right-hander remains another disappointing arm in a mostly relief role for manager Warren Schaeffer, posting a 5.49 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with an 0-2 record, two saves, and a 1.9 K/BB ratio through 35 appearances.
Zach Agnos has been optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque by the Colorado Rockies. Righthander TJ Shook is getting called up and will replace Agnos on the roster.

Agnos made his first career start on May 21 and held the Diamondbacks to one hit over five scoreless innings, lowering his ERA to a season-best 4.76 after the outing. However, disaster struck the righthander in his last two appearances as he has allowed 14 runs on 13 hits in just three innings, raising his season ERA to 7.78 in 16 games. Agnos will head to Triple-A to work on some things in the hopes of joining the big league roster again at some point this summer.

Agnos gave the Rockies much more than anticipated on Thursday as he was supposed to serve as the opener for a bullpen day. He threw 71 pitches in his five innings, allowing just a walk to Adrian Del Castillo and a single to Ketel Marte - both in the third inning. The righthander struck out four. Agnos has a 3.78 ERA in five appearances this month, limiting opponents to just a .186 average in 16.2 innings. Overall, he has a 4.76 ERA in 14 games this season. It's unclear what his role will be moving forward, but with Chase Dollander on the IL and a couple others in the rotation struggling, it may lead to another start or two for Agnos to see if it sticks.
