Andrew Kittredge will undergo Tommy John surgery on his elbow. He will miss the remainder of the 2022 season.
Fantasy Impact
This is tough news for the 32-year-old reliever who was having a solid 2022 (3.15 ERA, 6.3 K/9) season after a breakout 2021 season (1.88 ERA, 9.67 K/9). This surgery will likely keep Kittredge out for most of the 2023 season as well. The Rays' bullpen is tough to navigate right now with JP Feyereisen recently hitting the IL as well. Jason Adam recorded a save on Thursday, so it would seem he will be in a position for more saves down the line.
