Hansel Robles picks up second win of season

Hansel Robles worked one inning of relief on Tuesday in the Mets' 8-6 win over the Marlins and vultured a win (his second already) in the process. Robles allowed a hit and walk, but struck out two batters. He lowered his ERA to 1.80, while his WHIP rose to 1.40.

Fantasy Impact

Robles looks like a new pitcher since returning from his minor league designation after his dreadful spring in which he posted a 9.26 ERA. In 2015 and 2016, Robles was a key member of the Mets' pen and posted solid K:BB ratios. For instance, in 2016, he struck out 85 batters in 77 2/3 innings and posted a 3.48 ERA (with a 3.56 FIP to back it up). In 2017, Robles fell off with a horrific season punctuated with a 4.92 ERA and 5.13 FIP in 56 2/3 innings, resulting in a well-deserved MiLB demotion. If Robles has turned the corner after his recall, he may be a pitcher holds league owners might want to consider keeping an eye on if the Mets' are for real in 2018.
