Weaver was having an excellent 2019 season before forearm tightness essentially ended his season. He opted to rehab it, which immediately places a cloud over his 2020 outlook given the uncertainty that comes along with such an injury. His best case scenario likely includes some sort of innings limit with solid, but perhaps not league-winning numbers. That's a pitcher to take in the mid-teens rounds and hope everything falls in place.

Luke Weaver will have monitored workload early in the season
Luke Weaver may have his workload monitored early on in the 2020 season. General Manager Mike Hazen has said that the team will be 'cognizant' of his workload.
Weaver was limited to 64.1 innings in 2019 due to a forearm injury, and has never exceeded 140.1 innings in a season in his professional career. This could mean Weaver will be on a pitch count, or the Diamondbacks may insert a sixth starter into the rotation.
