Lyon Richardson has been designated for assignment by the Cincinnati Reds. The move is to make room on the 40-man roster for newly-acquired outfielder, Dane Myers.

Richardson, a former second-round pick out of high school by the Reds in the 2018 MLB Draft, appeared in 39 games with Cincinnati from 2023-25. The righthander has pitched to a 6.05 career ERA in 55 innings at the big league level. Command has been an issue for Richardson as he has allowed 37 walks in those 55 innings.
