SP - STL
Expert NoteView More Notes
Mikolas took a step back from his stellar 2018 season, adding more than a run onto his ERA and 0.15 onto his WHIP. With an extremely low strikeout rate, his numbers (4.16 ERA, 1.22 WHIP) don't warrant a roster spot. Add to that his forearm injury that will likely sideline him into May, and Mikolas can be off the fantasy radar.

Miles Mikolas (forearm) enters spring training 2.0 fully healthy
Miles Mikolas enters spring training 2.0 fully recovered from a strained flexor tendon in his right forearm.
Mikolas strained a flexor tendon in his right forearm in March and will enter spring training 2.0 completely healthy. It was reported that he was throwing bullpen sessions and that "everything was going well" in his recovery. Mikolas is looking to rebound after a subpar 2019 campaign. He owned a (9-14) record, 4.16 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 144:32 K:BB across 184 innings in 2019. Mikolas will be a bargain in 2020 fantasy drafts and is currently 103rd among all pitchers in the latest expert consensus rankings.
