Mitch Haniger (oblique) not likely for Opening Day

San Francisco Giants skipper said outfielder Mitch Haniger likely won't be ready for Opening Day due to an oblique injury.

Haniger was shut down on March 11 with an oblique injury and has registered just 10 spring at-bats as a result. Injuries have ravaged the former Mariner over the last three seasons as he has played in just 277 of a possible 546 games over the last four seasons. He posted a .246 average with 11 homers, and a .737 OPS across 57 games with Seattle in 2022.
