The Rockies released right-hander Roansy Contreras on Wednesday. The move marks the first official transaction under new president of baseball operations Paul DePodesta. Contreras was claimed off waivers late in the 2025 season and gave up eight runs over 8.1 innings before a hand contusion ended his year in late September.
Fantasy Impact
Contreras is now a free agent after struggling in limited action with Colorado. His release removes him from fantasy consideration unless he signs with another club and earns a defined role.
