SP - PIT
Roansy Contreras made his MLB debut Wednesday against the Cubs. He tossed three innings while allowing three hits and one walk. He struck out four.
The 21-year-old was lights out in the minors this season, and the Pirates gave him a chance to prove himself before the end of the 2021 season. He may not make another start this season, but he's an interesting commodity in dynasty going forward.
Pirates pitching prospect Roansy Contreras is sidelined due to a forearm strain.
Contreras has been pitching well for Double-A Altoona this season, registering a 2.35 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 46 innings. The plan is for him to resume throwing in August. Hopefully he isn't dealing with a significant injury.
