The Rockies released right-hander Roansy Contreras on Wednesday. The move marks the first official transaction under new president of baseball operations Paul DePodesta. Contreras was claimed off waivers late in the 2025 season and gave up eight runs over 8.1 innings before a hand contusion ended his year in late September.
