Spencer Hawes to work out for 76ers

Former NBA center Spencer Hawes will work out for the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski reports. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Hawes has played ten years in the NBA, most recently in the 2016-17 season for the Hornets and Bucks. He played for the South Bay Lakers in the G League last season. Hawes played three years for the 76ers from 2010-2013 and averaged 9.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks across 24.4 minutes per tilt. If Hawes indeed re-joins his former team, he'll scrap for backup minutes at center with Jonah Bolden and Kyle O'Quinn.
