Deandre Ayton sign-and-trade deal close with Indiana Pacers

Deandre Ayton is not able to be signed outright by the Pacers due to current salary cap restrictions, so as reported by Evan Sidery on twitter, the only way this deal gets done is via a sign-and-trade deal that would send Myles Turner to the Suns in exchange for Ayton. (Evan Sidery on twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Indiana Pacers currently have 26.2$ million in cap space which is not nearly enough to sign Ayton outright as the Suns would be able to match that offer sheet quite easily. The only way this deal gets done with Indiana is if a sing-and-trade can be agreed upon that would see Myles turner don the Suns jersey for the 2022 season. As for fantasy if this deal is finalized it would likely see Myles Turner's stock increase as he would be surrounded by an abundance of playmakers making it easy to be the defensive center he is and to finish at the net, as for Ayton it would see his stock likely stay the same as he would see more usage in Indiana but then would also be playing on a far worse team. One could then speculate that Indiana may be up for a trade for Westbrook as reported as they would then have a big to pair with the veteran PG to make a run for a championship rather then enter another rebuild.
