DeAndre Ayton “stuffs” the stat-sheet in loss to the Bucks

DeAndre Ayton totaled 20 points (7-12 FG, 6-6 FT), ten rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and one steal in the Suns’ 123-119 loss to the Bucks on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

Ayton “stuffed” the stat-sheet in the Suns’ home loss against the Bucks, leading to another double-double for the big-man. It will be a big night for the Suns star, and it will be interesting to see if he will be able to do what it takes to keep the team's championship hopes alive. He has been sensational in his first playoffs, and we have significantly benefited from his efforts from a fantasy perspective. Will he be the best player on the floor? It is possible, but we will see.

DeAndre Ayton looks to put it together again after loss to the Bucks

DeAndre Ayton totaled six points (3-9 FG), seventeen rebounds, five assists, and three blocks in the Suns’ 109-103 loss to the Bucks on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Ayton will look to put it together again after the Suns’ Game Four loss to the Bucks, as he was again unable to put together the double-double performance we have become accustomed to this post-season. Yes, he has been able to consistently play to the lower end of his ceiling, creating a nice security blanket for fantasy production; however, it leaves a lot to be desired. When Ayton is playing at his best, scoring and crashing the board matched with the additional urgency that separates good players from great players, it could be argued that the Suns are able to play at another level. The volatility in his production, albeit productive, could be just enough to spark some concern over how he is positioned in your roster. Do your best to hedge against the residual effects of his seemingly good vs. great "identity crisis."

DeAndre Ayton misses sixth straight double-double in loss to the Bucks

DeAndre Ayton totaled 18 points (8-11 FG, 2-2 FT), nine assists, and two steals in the Suns’ 120-100 loss to the Bucks on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Ayton missed his sixth straight double-double by one rebound in the Suns’ Game Three loss to the Bucks. He was productive on the boards and even managed to have his second consecutive game with multiple steals. Even though the Suns were outperformed, he still maintained his strong production floor despite going against a motivated and talented home team in the Bucks. He is a viable fantasy play for your lineups. Still, given the amount of upside and talent on the court, he may rarely be one of the top three players on the slate which could make it difficult to determine when to invest in his upside as he can put up slate-breaking performances any given night. Given his consistency, he is probably one of the safest plays for secure production, but be sure to watch his price-point to ensure you are getting him for his current production level and not his perceived potential.

DeAndre Ayton continues to thrive in win over the Bucks

DeAndre Ayton totaled ten points (4-10 FG, 2-3 FT), eleven rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and three steals in the Suns’ 118-108 win over the Bucks on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Ayton continued to thrive in the Suns' Game Two victory over the Bucks. He put together his fifth consecutive double-double performance while contributing to each performance category of the stat sheet. Even though it was a light scoring night for the young star, he was still able to have a significant impact on the game. From a fantasy standpoint, he has been sensational and could be one of the safest bets to consider when looking for a low-risk, high-reward play for your roster. However, the potential concern is figuring out how and when to leverage his upside to fully optimize your roster as he tends to produce more high-floor-low-ceiling games than the elusive slate-breaking performances he can have any given night. Despite this, he remains a top fantasy asset and should continue to elevate his play as the Suns look to claim a commanding lead in this series.

DeAndre Ayton flashes Playoff-MVP level brilliance in win over the Bucks

DeAndre Ayton totaled 22 points (8-10 FG, 6-6 FT), nineteen rebounds, one steal in the Suns’ 118-105 win over the Bucks on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

Ayton flashed Playoff-MVP Level brilliance; yes, I said it Playoff-MVP level brilliance in the Suns’ win over the Bucks as he continued to solidify his presence and importance in the team’s starting rotation. He has been impactfully consistent during the team's playoff run and has undoubtedly been a significant reason for the squad's continued success. Ayton has been masterful on the boards. His tendency to be a complementary scoring threat to the offensive "machines" that are Chris Paul and Devin Booker has taken his ability to produce meaningful stat and fantasy lines to another level. He is always sure to have a valuable high-floor game, but his ability to consistently deliver on the upward end of his ceiling can be somewhat sporadic. This trend could lead to a frustrating night when you ultimately decide to overleverage the talents of Giannis Antetokounmpo as your captain and main multiplier and forgot the potential upside of Ayton the night he decides to show out. Still, overall he should be able to help you to a successful night either way. Adjustments will be made as the team's become more familiar; however, Ayton hasn’t shown any signs of hitting a slump. While anything is possible, he should be one of the safer plays for your roster, given his solid floor, consistency, and upside.
