Grant Williams traded to Dallas Mavericks

by Garrett Ball | Mavericks Correspondent | Wed, Jul 5th 7:53pm EDT

Grant Williams has been traded from Boston to the Dallas Mavericks via sign-and-trade. The deal also included the Spurs, who receive Reggie Bullock and a 2030 pick swap with Dallas. The Celtics get multiple second-round picks in return. Dallas will sign Williams to a four-year, $54 million contract. (Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Williams has grown into a regular rotation player for the Celtics since being drafted by the team in 2019. He can definitely add floor spacing, as he is a 38% career three-point shooter, albeit in low volume. Dallas will hope that Williams improves their suspect defense with his play, and he will no doubt be in the regular rotation. Whether or not he is a regular starter remains to be seen.
