Kevin Love totaled eight points (3-4 FG, 2-2 FT), ten rebounds, and two assists in the Heat’s 112-97 loss to the Nets.
Fantasy Impact:
Love nearly double-doubled in the Heats’ loss to the Nets, falling two points shy of accomplishing the feat. This was a promising performance, as he continues to work his way back into form after experiencing some health setbacks earlier this year. Love still has some value left in the tank; however, his road to more meaningful minutes could be more difficult, with the team exploring other options in the rotation that could present more promising value in the long term. The silver lining is that he has shown the ability to produce worthwhile value efficiently, so he could be a serviceable streaming play in deep season-long leagues for those looking to bolster their rebound production. Love, however, doesn’t warrant any consideration in most other year-long formats, given his modest production, limited role, and capped upside. At the same time, however, his production and price point could be competitive enough to position him as a viable last-piece flier in daily play. He has a usage rate of 19.8 percent, a plus-minus of 4.6, and is averaging 16.9 minutes, 7.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.1 steals per game while shooting 38.8 percent from the floor and 30.0 percent from beyond the arc.
