Malik Monk knocks down game-winning shot Tuesday
by Evan Ritter | Kings Correspondent | Wed, Nov 29th 1:46pm EST
Malik Monk finished Tuesday’s win over the Warriors with 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-7 3PT, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal across 26 minutes off the bench.
Fantasy Impact:
Monk’s late-game bucket not only clinched the victory for the Kings on Tuesday but also earned them a spot in the quarterfinals of the In Season Tournament and won them the West Group C with a 4-0 record. Monk is one of the better bench players in the league, and his multi-positional eligibility makes him a valuable asset in fantasy hoops. The veteran guard has scored double-figures in four of his last five outings while currently being ranked just outside the top 150 per-game value. His sporadic efficiency numbers are what hold him back from reaching his ceiling. However, there’s a case to be made that Monk’s roster percentage should be higher than the 62% it currently sits at.
