Anthony Davis underwent imaging on Friday that revealed ligament damage in his left hand. He will seek a second opinion, and if surgery is required, he could miss multiple months. (Shams Charania on Twitter)

Davis suffered the injury in the final minutes of Thursday’s 116-114 loss to the Utah Jazz. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that there’s a good chance he could be sidelined through the February 5 NBA trade deadline and possibly beyond if surgery is needed. With Davis facing an extended absence, Naji Marshall, Klay Thompson and Caleb Martin should see an increase in minutes moving forward.
