Sabonis is anticipated to play in Friday's matchup with Washington, ending a 27-game absence due to a partial meniscus tear in his knee, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports. The star big man is expected to return to the starting lineup, potentially moving rookie first-rounder Maxime Raynaud back to a reserve role. Through 11 games this season, Sabonis has averaged 17.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals across 33.2 minutes per game. (Anthony Slater)
Fantasy Impact:
Friday would mark Sabonis' first action since sustaining the knee injury. His return comes after missing nearly a month recovering from the partial meniscus tear.
