Jalen Duren is expected to explore sign-and-trade options after he and his camp were underwhelmed by the Pistons initial offer. Sam Amick of The Athletic noted Duren and the team are at an impasse after a season of mixed results. On the one hand, Duren had a great 2025-26 season, but floundered in the playoffs. Given that, the team is hesitant to hand him the massive contract he is now eligible for because of his All-NBA selection. (The Athletic)
Fantasy Impact:
This could have massive implications for the Pistons in 2026 if Duren leaves, especially since they traded Isaiah Stewart during the draft. If Duren finds himself on another team this offseason, the Pistons will have a big hole to fill in their starting lineup, and that player could have a lot of fantasy value given Detroit’s style of play.
