Heat forward Chris Silva has been ruled questionable for Friday's game against Toronto with a hip injury.
Fantasy Impact
It is not clear how he suffered the injury, but Silva played just five minutes on Saturday and has not stepped foot on the court in each of the last two games. It seems as if he has fallen out of the Heat's rotation as they start to get some players back from injuries and the health protocols.
Chris Silva scored four points (1-3 FG, 2-2 FT), while adding four rebounds, three assists and one block across 12 minutes in the Heat's 125-119 overtime loss against the Cavaliers on Monday night.
Fantasy Impact
Silva was forced into game action tonight, as Kelly Olynyk picked up two early fouls in the first quarter. He produced a well-rounded stat line in his 12 minutes played. Silva rarely logs game time, he is not a recommended option going forward and he should remain on the waiver wire.
Chris Silva produced no stats in the box score in one minute played in the Heat’s 113 -92 win against the Magic on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Silva has logged only 11 total minutes played for the month of January, only a rash of injuries to the Heat front court would provide him some consistent minutes. He is not a fantasy option for the foreseeable future.
Chris Silva was in uniform Wednesday but did not get on the floor as Miami defeated Philadelphia 108-104.
Fantasy Impact
This is not surprising given his minutes trend in December. The Heat beat the Sixers despite using just an eight man rotation, and Silva was a victim of that decision.
Chris Silva scored two points on his lone field goal attempt in three minutes against Memphis Monday.
Fantasy Impact
This was Silva’s first game without a rebound since November 8th, a symptom of his decreased playing time in December compared with November. His contributions in the small amount of playing time he’s been receiving are mostly on the defensive end, not ideal for fantasy lineup consideration.
