Darius Garland (ankle) will not suit up on Sunday versus the Nets.
Cleveland, predictably, has decided to rest Garland ahead of a meaningless contest on Sunday versus Brooklyn. The risks of playing DFS on the final day of the season are enormous but at least players will know that they will need a replacement for Garland's talent on Sunday.
Cleveland Cavaliers PG Darius Garland (ankle) has been ruled out Monday vs the Pacers.
The Cavs have ruled out Kevin Love (rest), Darius Garland (ankle), Cedi Osman (ankle), and Isaiah Hartenstein (head) on Monday in the second leg of a back-to-back. In Sunday's loss, Collin Sexton and Isaac Okoro combined for 34 field goal attempts, and both players will once again benefit from additional usage.
Cleveland Cavaliers PG Darius Garland (ankle) will miss his third straight game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday due to a sprained left ankle.
Garland won't be able to return from a sprained left ankle injury on Wednesday that has sidelined him for the past three games. Isaac Okoro can be inserted into lineups against the Blazers on Wednesday, as he exploded for 32 points and six assists across 47 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Suns. He likely won't reach another 30-point outing but he is active in other statistical categories to produce solid value during Wednesday's nine-game slate.
Darius Garland provided 25 points (10-24 FG, 2-9 3PT, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, 10 assists, four steals, and six turnovers in Wednesday's loss to Orlando.
Garland's six game streak of scoring 20+ points came to a halt last game in Toronto, but he bounced back tonight. He also dished out 10 dimes for a second straight time, to go along with a season-high four steals. The 41.7% shooting and six giveaways weren't ideal, but that's going to happen without Collin Sexton on the floor. Garland will have to deal with Russell Westbrook and the Wizards on Friday night.
Darius Garland amassed 28 points (9-20 FG, 4-8 3PT, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and six turnovers in Sunday night's defeat to Washington.
Garland had to do most of the heavy lifting tonight with Collin Sexton out due to a concussion. He poured in 28 points, the most he's recorded in a game since April 5th, bringing him to six straight contests with at least 20 points. He has played excellent basketball in the month of April, and hopefully he can keep the momentum going in the final three weeks of the season.
