Darius Garland (groin) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game against the Bulls due to a strained groin.
The rookie is set to miss his fifth consecutive game after straining his groin back on February 29th against the Pacers. He has yet to return to practice and it's possible that the Cavaliers opt to play things safe with their prized rookie. Darius Garland (groin) has been officially ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Spurs.
Garland will miss his fourth straight game with the groin strain. In his absence, Collin Sexton has looked like a bonafide Superstar, averaging 32.7 points in three games without Garland. Garland has been going through light individual workouts, however Coach J.B. Bickerstaff doesn’t expect him to be available for either game this weekend. He could potentially return to the Cavs lineup Tuesday in Chicago. In his absence, Matthew Dellavedova was inserted into the starting lineup, but it’s been backcourt mate Collin Sexton who has benefited the most with Garland off the floor. Sexton has set back-to-back career-highs in points in the last two games, with 32 against Utah on Monday, and then 41 against Boston on Wednesday. Will Sexton go for 50 on Saturday against Denver? He’ll certainly have a shot at it with Garland set to miss the next two games for Cleveland.
Kelsey Russo on Twitter is reporting that the Cavaliers have ruled out Darius Garland for Wednesday’s match-up with the Celtics due to a strain groin.
With Darius Garland sitting out his second consecutive game, Collin Sexton should pick-up the slack and play some major minutes versus the Celtics. Check the waiver wire to make sure Sexton is not floating around there and pick him up if available.

Garland has played in 59 of 60 games this season, but will sit out Monday against the Utah Jazz with a groin injury. Look for Kevin Porter Jr. to potentially enter into the starting lineup for Cleveland. Collin Sexton should also benefit from his usual backcourt mate sitting out tomorrow night.
