Dion Waiters not ready for game action yet

According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin and Lakers coach Frank Vogel, "it's probably going to be a few games" until recently acquired Dion Waiters sees any game action for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Fantasy Impact

It remains to be seen if Waiters is going to have much of a fantasy impact when he starts playing for the Lakers, but it is no secret that the team could use more production out of the shooting guard spot.

Dion Waiters has signed with Lakers

Shams Charania on Twitter is reporting that Dion Waiters has signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Fantasy Impact

Waiters worked out for the Lakers on March 2nd and it appears that he made a great impression on them. He will be a nice addition for the Lakers as he will provide them with some scoring punch off the bench. Fantasy owners can place him on the watch list to see how he is meshed into the rotation.

Dion Waiters works out for the Lakers

Shams Charania on Twitter is reporting that free agent Dion Waiters has worked out for Lakers.

Fantasy Impact

Dion Waiters roller coaster of a season continues. After starting the season with the Heat and having some off the court issues he was traded to the Grizzlies along with Justise Winslow as part of the Andre Iguodala trade. Waiters was then waived by the Grizzlies to become a free agent. If the Lakers do end up signing Waiters he would be a nice scoring option off the bench for them. For now the guard is to be monitored and added to the watch list to see if anything develops.

Dion Waiters dealt to Memphis

Dion Waiters was traded to the Grizzlies on Thursday in the deal that sent Andre Iguodala to the Heat.

Fantasy Impact

Waiters was dealt to Memphis along with teammates Justise Winselow and James Johnson. Waiters has been out most of the season. He has only played three games all year. The Grizzlies will take a chance on Waiters and see if he can rebound to his 2015-2016 levels. Waiters is a fringe deep-league option at best and is should be left on the waiver wire.

Dion Waiters scores 11, hits three triples in Heat loss

Dion Waiters scored 11 points (4- 11 FG, 3-6 3PT), while adding five rebounds across 18 minutes in the Heat's 109-101 loss against the Celtics on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

Waiters has scored in double figures in two out of his last three games. After not playing the majority of the year, he is now being utilized in the rotation due to Kendrick Nunn’s injury, providing some scoring in his limited minutes. Waiters and the Heat will take on the Magic on the road on Saturday night.
