Gorgui Dieng logged five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3PT), six rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal over 15 minutes in Tuesday's 120-115 loss to the Magic.
Dieng continues totake advantage of his limited opportunity. While his scoring (7.0 points per game) leaves a lot to be desired he is averaging 8.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 0.4 steals over just 19.2 minutes in five outings this month. He is firmly behind Jonas Valanciunas on the depth chart which limits his upside, but his production per minutes proves that if Valanciunas is to miss any time, Dieng would become an instant fantasy asset.
Gorgui Dieng posted six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, and two blocks over 19 minutes of relief in Wednesday's big 118-79 win over the Nets.
Dieng followed up Monday's double-double with an equally impressive statline on Monday. His recent play has mainly due to the injures to Jaren Jackson Jr .and Brandon Clarke but that shouldn't discredit what he's done. He's a great DFS target while the opportunity for extra minutes is here.
Gorgui Dieng recorded 17 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 3PT, 5-7 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block, and three turnovers in 26 minutes of action in Monday's 127-88 win over the Hawks.
Dieng recorded his third double-double since joining the Grizzlies. With Clarke out, Dieng has been the big off the bench getting a run. He remains a solid play when the Grizzlies play lottery teams. The Grizzlies play the Nets on Wednesday.
Gorgui Dieng recorded 14 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one steal, four blocks, and one turnover over 28 minutes in Monday's 124-97 loss to the Clippers.
With Clarke leaving after four minutes due to injury, the Grizzlies turned to Dieng. He feasted in his role and may be worth a dart throw in DFS leagues on Wednesday night against the Rockets.
Gorgui Dieng was traded from the Timberwolves to the Grizzlies on Thursday in exchange for James Johnson
Dieng will provide depth at center for Grizzlies and should backup starter Jonas Valanciunas. His fantasy value should remain roughly the same, but he could see a few extra minutes in the Grizzlies rotation. The 30-year old center is averaging 7.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 blocks across 46 games this year.
