Josh Okogie finished with 10 points (4-5 FG), one rebound, two assists, and two three-pointers during Wednesday's 139-121 win over the Raptors. He played 24 minutes as a starter and committed one turnover.
Fantasy Impact
Rockets head coach Ime Udoka recently praised Okogie, noting "He knows his role... He brings the physicality and aggressiveness on the defensive side of the ball." Udoka also stated Okogie "knows how to play off other guys." The Rockets have won two straight games since Okogie was moved into the starting lineup, and he appears "locked in" to that role for now.
Josh Okogie has agreed to a one-year, $3.1 million deal with the Houston Rockets.
Fantasy Impact
Okogie gives the Rockets some help on defense and he has some upside on offense when called upon. Given their talent and depth on that side of the court, however, Okogie likely won’t be needed in that capacity. He will be a depth option primarily and likely unusable for fantasy unless the Rockets are resting multiple starters.
The Hornets waived Josh Okogie.
Fantasy Impact
Okogie was traded to Charlotte back in January. He shouldn't have much of an issue finding an opportunity with another team.
Josh Okogie scored 14 points (4-10 FG, 2-7 3PT, 4-5 FT) to go along with two rebounds, two assists and one block in the Hornets 93-86 loss against the Celtics.
Fantasy Impact
Okogie tied Jusuf Nurkic for the team-high in points to end the season. He should remain in a reserve role with Charlotte next season.
Josh Okogie (hamstring) is without an injury designation for Friday's game against the Boston Celtics.
Fantasy Impact
The Hornets let Okogie sit out on Wednesday as part of the injury maintenance for his hamstring, but he now carries no injury designation and will be good to go against the Celtics. His return will mean less work for Damion Baugh and Seth Curry against the Celtics.
