Josh Okogie does nothing in 36 minutes of play in loss to the Rockets

Josh Okogie totaled seven points (2-5 FG, 0-0 3PT, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, and three assists in 36 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 117-111 loss to the Rockets on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

In 36 minutes of play, Okogie was unable to muster up any meaningful offensive productivity for the Timberwolves this past Tuesday against the Rockets. Although provided with ample playing time and a defined role in the rotation, he has failed to provide consistent value in the majority of the games this year. His amount of playing time makes him a possible candidate for deep-league play, but even that isn’t enough to prevent him from being a fade in all formats at this time.

Josh Okogie puts up a weak performance in loss to the Magic

Josh Okogie totaled three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3PT, 0-0 FT) and four rebounds in 21 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 132-118 loss to the Magic on Friday.

Fantasy Impact

Okogie had a weak performance against the Magic this past Friday. Despite a few games, he hasn’t been impressive even when provided with ample opportunity to perform. At this time, he isn’t worth an add in any format.

Josh Okogie continues his conservative play in win against the Bulls

Josh Okogie totaled five points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3PT, 0-0 FT), four rebounds, and two assists in 26 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 115-108 victory over the Bulls on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Much like his other performances, Okogie’s play against the Bulls this past Wednesday remained safe, conservative, and failed to produce an impactful line for fantasy purposes. He is provided ample opportunity to showcase his value, but for some reason, he isn’t able to consistently put-forth performances that provide a glimpse of the possibilities of a higher-floor and much more attractive ceiling. Until Okogie can provide more, he can safely remain side-lined. If you are in dire need of some value, you could do a lot worse than him, so keeping him on your radar and committing to a wait-and-see approach may be a good way to go.

Josh Okogie contributes a conservative line in win against the Pelicans

Josh Okogie totaled 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 31 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 139-134 victory over the Pelicans on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

Okogie put up a conservative, albeit consistent, line this past Tuesday against the Pelicans. He continues to play at a solid floor level but does little to excite outside of a short burst here and there. He wasn’t able to do much in 31 minutes but did manage to shoot 57.1 percent from the floor and 50 percent from beyond the arc on his way to scoring 11 points. On the year he is averaging 8.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. Okogie is a consistent source of value, but his conservative play leaves much to be desired. He is worth having on your radar for deep-league play, but that’s about it.

Josh Okogie continues his conservative play in loss to Mavericks

Josh Okogie totaled nine points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3PT, 0-0 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and one steal in 23 minutes in the Timberwolves’ 111-91 loss to the Mavericks on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Okogie has provided healthy relief off the bench in his last two games. Although he has the skill to stuff the stat-sheet, his conservative play tremendously limits his ceiling. If you are looking for consistent value at an average rate, then Okogie is your man; it would be best, however, to see him as a deep-league prospect.
