Mike Dunleavy (SG,SF)

Free Agent

Mike Dunleavy has been waived by the Hawks on Friday. Dunleavy would've been on the books for just over $5 million next season. He will look to sign on with a contender for next season. (Source: David Aldridge on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy didn't make any fantasy impact this past season and should remain off your roster for next season. He could re-sign with the Hawks or sign on with a contender.

Mike Dunleavy has yet to report to the Atlanta Hawks after being dealt from Cleveland for Kyle Korver. Sources say that Dunleavy is seeking a buyout from the Hawks that would enable him to immediately become a free agent. According to league rules, a player has 72 hours after a trade to report to his new team and complete a physical. (Source: ESPN)

Fantasy Impact: At this point, no one is certain Dunleavy will even play for Atlanta, if at all, for the rest of this season. Additionally, Kyle Korver cannot play until Dunleavy has taken his physical. Both sides still have time to work it out. Don't rush to waste a fantasy roster spot on Dunleavy, 36, until he shows some desire to play.

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy goes to a crowded unit of guards and small forwards but could see some minutes if Thabo Sefolosha gets dealt. Dunleavy was expected to play a role behind LeBron James but injuries haven't allowed that to happen. Dunleavy has played in 23 games this season averaging about 15 minutes and five points per game.

Mike Dunleavy will miss tonight's game against the Clippers with a concussion. J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert will see additional minutes. (Source: Tom Withers on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Even with Dunleavy out, Smith and Shumpert are risky daily plays. It may however be a slight bump for Channing Frye.

Mike Dunleavy got the start in place of J.R. Smith but didn't do much scoring only two points on 1-for-6 shooting. He added three rebounds and one block.

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy should remain on the waiver wire.

The Bulls had a tough time taking care of the basketball on Thursday. They turned the ball over 21 times and that poor play led to the Bulls losing 101-109. Mike Dunleavy only had one turnover, but he did not help much in any other ways. He only scored seven points and shot 25 percent from the floor. He grabbed six rebounds and handed out three assists on the night too.

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy seems to be fully healthy and has averaged 27 minutes per game over his last 10 games. Dunleavy could be a good addition if you are struggling with the points category. He can also help with the three-point category as he is shooting 46.9 percent from behind the arch. If you play DFS, look to use Dunleavy as a value option when the matchup is right.

Mike Dunleavy has continued to show progress since returning from his back injury. He saw just shy of 30 minutes against the Heat on Tuesday and scored 10 points. He was 2-4 from the three-point line. He also added two rebounds and an assist.

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy is worth a look in deep leagues if you need someone who can shoot the three and put up decent points each night. He is not going to win you a fantasy championship, but he might be the guy to help you sneak into the playoffs. Dunleavy is also a solid DFS option if you need a mid-level type forward.

In a game that lacked defense, Chicago was able to out score the Lakers 126-115. Mike Dunleavy saw his most minutes since returning from injury and had a good game. In 25 minutes, Dunleavy scored 17 points, grabbed one rebound and handed out two assists.

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy could make a nice addition if you have an extra spot available. Once he shows he can handle 25 minutes on a consistent basis, Dunleavy can help in scoring and three-point categories. He is nothing more than a stash option in yearly. He also makes an interesting GPP option in daily.

Mike Dunleavy is still working his way back from his injury. In his second game back, Dunleavy saw 11 minutes. He scored two points, grabbed one rebound and had one assist.

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy should be owned in deep leagues if you have room to stash him. He should eventually see bigger minutes once his conditioning is back to game shape. He is only a punt option in DFS at the moment.

Bulls small forward Mike Dunleavy will see his first action of the season Monday after missing the first two-and-a-half months. It is unclear if Dunleavy will be on a minutes restriction. (Source: Vincent Goodwill on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Bulls desperately need the fresh body as Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, and Nikola Mirotic are out against Charlotte. Don't expect too much from Dunleavy though as he should be quite rusty after months of inactivity.

Mike Dunleavy is not with the Bulls. He is currently seeing a back specialist. (Source: Nick Friedell on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Word is that he will rejoin the team within the next few days. Dunleavy will need to log a few "show me " games before being put into the circle of fantasy trust.

Mike Dunleavy had a setback in his recovery last week. His timetable to return is unclear. He is taking the next two weeks to stay off the floor and only focus on rehab. He is also going to see some specialists. Dunleavy does not need additional back surgery at this time. (Source: ESPN)

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy will have to prove he can handle the grind and wear on his back before you can consider adding him to your roster. He could hold value if he sees enough minutes. Dunleavy can shoot the long ball and is a slightly more consistent option over Doug McDermott. If you need the help and can stash him, grab him in about two to three weeks depending on his further prognosis.

Even though LeBron James and the Cavs reportedly had interest in the 14-year veteran Mike Dunleavy, he wound up agreeing to a deal to stay with the Bulls. The three-year, $14.4 million deal will keep the SF in Chicago as a the starter for this season and possibly beyond. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: In two seasons with the Bulls, Dunleavy has started 125 games, averaging a career-high 30.5 MPG along with 10.5 PPG, 4.1 RPG and 2.1 APG. He shot an effective 39 percent from 3-point land. Dunleavy will likely be the starter in 2015 with second-year man Doug McDermott earning time in the rotation. This is a nice signing for a solid player who isn't fantasy worthy, but is NBA starter worthy.

Dunleavy added seven points on 3-9 shooting from the field and 1-5 from the 3-point land in 31 minutes in Thursday's Game 6 season-ending loss.

Fantasy Impact: He also had four assists, three blocks and a rebound. Due to be an unrestricted free agent this off-season, Dunleavy will be 35 in September. He averaged 11.3 PPG as he shot an impressive 51 percent 3-point mark this postseason. He averaged 9.4 PPG this season. Dunleavy was signed for just over $3 million this season. It will be interesting to see if he will be back or if the Bulls will opt to use Doug McDermott in Year 2 or sign someone younger.

Dunleavy finished Sunday's Game 4 loss with four points, two rebounds, two steals and a assist.

Fantasy Impact: He was in foul trouble for most of the afternoon as he picked up his fifth with over seven minutes left in the fourth. He shot 1-7 from the field and 1-4 from 3-point land in 33 minutes. Dunleavy made a big defensive play drawing an offensive foul on a elbow from LeBron James. But his offense wasn't enough. He was averaging 11.5 PPG and about 53 percent on 3's this playoffs coming into Sunday.

Dunleavy was a key piece to the Bulls' offense on Friday night, adding 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block.

Fantasy Impact: He played 39 minutes which was second to only Jimmy Butler and tied with Derrick Rose. He shot 6-12 from the field and 3-7 from 3-point land. Dunleavy has been aggressive when he needs to be attacking the rim and has made smart passes all series. He causes a mismatch for J.R. Smith or Iman Shumpert.

Dunleavy scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, two assists and a steal in a Game 1 win in Cleveland.

Fantasy Impact: He added 13 of his 14 points in the first quarter alone as he was on fire. He made 5-9 shots from the field and 3-4 from 3-point land in 39 minutes. At times, his defense was suspect especially on switches which led to a big 22-point night from Iman Shumpert (4-10 from 3-point land). As long as Dunleavy keeps up his fine 3-point shooting he will be fine.

Dunleavy added 20 points along with five assists, four rebounds, a steal in the Game 6 series-clinching blowout 120-66 win over the Bucks. The win was four points away from the NBA playoff record for largest margin of victory set in 1956.

Fantasy Impact: He had a couple scuffles with Bucks youngsters Giannis Antetokounmpo and Michael Carter-Williams. Antetokounmpo was ejected after the shoulder on a Dunleavy three. "We came out on their court and put it on them. That's frustrating. If anybody's been there before, that's frustrating, and I understand that," Dunleavy said. He made 4-6 from 3-point land is a key player moving forward in Round 2 against Cleveland.

Dunleavy added a team-high 24 points along with five rebounds, four assists and a steal in Sunday's 99-94 loss to Cleveland.

Fantasy Impact: He shot 8-12 from the field and 4-6 from 3-point range in 33 minutes on the floor. With LeBron James buckling down on Jimmy Butler, Dunleavy was able to be more aggressive on offense. His point total (24) was his highest since Nov. 7 when he scored 27 against PHI. He is shooting 43% from 3-point land this season, but isn't consistent enough offensively to be trusted in any fantasy leagues.

Mike Dunleavy scores 21 in win

Fri, Mar 6th 12:09am EST
By Jake Perper

Dunleavy added 21 points, four rebounds and two assists in Thursday night's win over the Thunder.

Fantasy Impact: It was Dunleavy's eighth 20 plus point performance this season and second in four games. He shot 8-17 in 38 minutes on the floor, including 3-6 from 3-point land. He is too hit or miss offensively to be a fantasy option, but he has big nights off and on.

Dunleavy made five three-pointers on his way to 21 points Friday night against Minnesota. He grabbed eight boards and three assists in the Bulls win.

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy's stock should be rising with the Derrick Rose injury. He has been getting starter's minutes since he's been back from injury, and will now need to foster more offense with Rose sidelined. He is worth a pickup in standard leagues, especially if you need threes.

In only his fifth game played in during 2015, Dunleavy scored 15 points and added four assists, two rebounds and a steal in Saturday night's win over Phoenix.

Fantasy Impact: It was the most points Dunleavy had scored since his 23-point performance on Dec. 30 against Brooklyn. He made 6-11 shots from the field, including 3-5 from the FT stride in 28 minutes. He is a nice piece to have on the back of your bench.

Dunleavy played 24 minutes Tuesday night against the Kings. He didn't shoot much, only managing five points on 2-of-5 shooting.

Fantasy Impact: Dunleavy's return is much needed for the Bulls, he will still receive starters minutes once he is 100%. Until then expect some slow nights until after the All-Star Break.

Dunleavy played in his first game since Jan. 1 as he's fully healthy from an ankle injury. He scored five points and added three assists and a rebound in Tuesday's win over the Kings.

Fantasy Impact: He played in just 24 minutes, so the Bulls eased his way back into the lineup in this blowout win. He won't be fantasy worthy for much of the season, but his return will make everyone around him more valuable.

If Dunleavy is out again it would be his 16th straight game missed. The Bulls could use his 3-point ability and defense against the No. 2 Suns offense, who is averaging 107.3 PPG. (Source: Chuck Swirsky on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: For the season, Dunleavy is averaging 9.7 PPG, 3.8 RPG and has connected on 41.7% of his 3-point tries in 33 games. Aaron Brooks, Kirk Hinrich and Tony Snell will fill the void in a rotation with Dunleavy likely still out.

Fantasy Impact: Mike Dunleavy will miss his 14th consecutive game Tuesday night with an ankle injury. He was supposed to be back on Friday but has regressed and is now day to day. If he has not already been dropped in standard leagues he should be. Look at your waiver wire.

Mike Dunleavy out with a right ankle injury, will not play Monday against Cleveland

Fantasy Impact: Expect Kirk Hinrich to continue to get the start in his place.

Fantasy Impact: Expect Kirk Hinrich to continue to start in his place, but watch for Nikola Mirotic to continue to experiment with running at the 3 spot while Dunleavy is out.

Dunleavy played well in front of his father in L.A. in Monday night's win, scoring 19 points on 6-10 shooting, including 4-6 from three-point land.

Fantasy Impact: He also added 7 rebounds. When Dunleavy is hot he's one of the best three-point shooters in the league. For the season he is shooting 38% from downtown slightly ahead of his career average. Dunleavy is a nice option to have on your bench.

In Friday night's 118-115 win over Philadelphia, Dunleavy lead the way with 27 points, including 12 in the 4th quarter.

Fantasy Impact: He hit 5 of 8 three-point tries on the night and came up big in 31 minutes with Derrick Rose out and Joakim Noah quiet offensively. Dunleavy's usage will be there, but his outputs are hard to predict. Either way he's a nice option to have on your fantasy bench.

Dunleavy played a team-high 31 minutes, but finished the night with no points. He added 4 assists and 3 rebounds though.

Fantasy Impact: Even with Jimmy Butler out Dunleavy wasn't effective on the offensive end, failing to make any of his 5 shot attempts. Dunleavy hustled on the defensive end, something that won't show up on stat sheets or even fantasy lineups. Keep him on your fantasy bench at the tail end of it. Barring an injury he is not a great option.

Dunleavy sat out Thursday night's game against Atlanta with a knee issue. It is considered to be serious.

Fantasy Impact: Rookie Doug McDermott didn't do anything to force the Bulls hand in terms of a SF controversy with 4 points and 9 rebounds in 28 minutes of play. Dunleavy should have the job to start the season. His ADP of 129 makes sense if you want a nice bench piece.
