PJ Dozier came off the bench to score 14 points (6-11 FG, 0-3 3-pt, 2-2 FT) while adding six rebounds and two assists in a 110-99 win over Orlando on Tuesday.
Tonight marks only the third time all month that the backup guard has scored in double-digits. He simply does not see enough playing time on a deep and talented Nuggets team to warrant ownership in fantasy leagues. He can be left on the waiver wire.
Nuggets guard PJ Dozier broke out for 19 points (8-17 FG, 2-5 3-pt, 1-2 FT) on Tuesday night, while adding two rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes of action.
Dozier had scored a combined 34 points over his past five games combined, so we wouldn't read too much into this game. This was a garbage-time special, as Dozier scored 14 points in the second half of a blowout win. Dozier can be ignored in fantasy leagues.
Nuggets guard PJ Dozier (hamstring) is out of Thursday's matchup against the Wizards.
Nuggets will be without Dozier and Gary Harris on Thursday. Nuggets will lean on Will Barton and Facundo Campazzo in their absence. Campazzo is coming off a career-high scoring performance, and Barton gets another chance to bounce back after struggling in his most recent outing. It'll be interesting to see how these players perform consecutively under similar circumstances.
Denver Nuggets PG PJ Dozier (hamstring) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Blazers.
Tuesday will mark the 11th straight absence for Dozier. In the veteran guard's absence, Facundo Campazzo has played the bulk of the backup point guard minutes. Campazzo has played surprisingly well over the past few weeks recording an average of 30.0 minutes, 13.8 points, and 1.5 steals per game.
Nuggets guard PJ Dozier (right hamstring strain) is out of Sunday's matchup against the Hawks.
With Dozier and other teammates out of Sunday's matchup, the team will likely lean on Monte Morris and Facundo Campazzo, more role players.
