Ricky Rubio rock solid against the Bulls

Ricky Rubio put up 18 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 9-11 FT), 11 assists, seven rebounds, and two steals over 35 minutes as the Suns defeated the Bulls 112-104 on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

After struggling through most of February Rubio has now scored in the double-digits in back-to-back games while dishing out 20 total assists over that same span. Hopefully the veteran point guard has turned over a new leaf and can keep it rolling on Monday against the Jazz.

Ricky Rubio narrowly misses double-double against Toronto Friday

Ricky Rubio racked up 13 points (4-9 FG, 1-4 3PT, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, nine assists, and four steals over 27 minutes of play Friday night against the Raptors.

Fantasy Impact

Rubio isn't a top-end fantasy play but offers a relatively safe floor, especially in deeper fantasy leagues. He takes on the Bulls Saturday in Chicago.

Ricky Rubio dishes nine assists against the Dubs

Ricky Rubio contributed nine points (4-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt), nine assists, five rebounds, and two steals over 24 minutes as the Suns defeated the Warriors 112-106 on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

It was another slow night for Rubio offensively. He's now failed to score in the double-digits in seven of 10 games while averaging 6.0 assists per contest over that same span, well below his season-average of 8.6. Perhaps his ankle is still bothering him or he's simply tired and is ready for a much needed breather. Either way the All-Star break will give the veteran guard plenty of time to rest up and get right before the second half. You're sticking with him for his assists and steals.

Ricky Rubio has quiet night in Monday's loss to Lakers

Ricky Rubio recorded 13 points (2-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five assists, three rebounds, and a steal over 25 minutes in Monday's 125-100 loss to the Lakers.

Fantasy Impact

Monday's game was below Rubio's season averages of 12.3 points, 8.6 assists (fourth in the league), and 4.4 rebounds. The Suns have been battling a ton of injuries recently and Devin Booker couldn't find his shot, making for a weird night with stats spread thin across the Suns' roster. Rubio and the Suns will look to bounce back Wednesday night against the Warriors, a less formidable opponent than Monday's first-place Lakers.

Ricky Rubio has 11 assists and four steals in loss

Ricky Rubio contributed four points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 assists, four steals, one rebound, and six turnovers across 35 minutes as the Suns were defeated by the Pistons 116-108 on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Another game and another poor offensive effort from Rubio. He played 35 minutes so it would appear his ankle is no longer bothering him. It's hard to attribute the lack of offensive production to injury rust as he was struggling before missing time with his ankle last week. In any event, he wasn't drafted in fantasy leagues for his offense. He's still giving you meaningful production with his assists and steals so he's worth sticking with the rest of the way.
