Wesley Matthews will not play Tuesday’s contest against the Nets due to a sore calf.
Matthews sustained the calf injury in Sunday’s loss to the Rockets, and could have been the reason he was off the mark. He managed three points (1-6 FG, 1-6 3PT), across 27 minutes. Matthews is currently day-to-day. Look for Donte DiVincenzo and Pat Connaughton to see an uptick in minutes with Matthews sidelined.
Wesley Matthews notched three points (1-6 FG, 1-6 3Pt) and two rebounds in 27 minutes against Houston on Sunday night.
Wesley Matthews hit a new low under the primetime lights against the Rockets on Sunday. Going a dismal one-for-six from the field, Matthews was decidedly useless from a fantasy perspective. He recorded two defensive rebounds but canceled them out with two turnovers. Owners would surely be disappointed with this outing against the defensively-challenged Rockets. Hopefully this convinces owners to let Matthews ride the bench moving forward, as he has just nine points since the restart.
Wesley Matthews nabbed nine points (2-6 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT) in 27 minutes of work on Friday night.
Wesley Matthews was mostly quiet in his return to action following the NBA restart. His game tends to be based on buckets alone and that doesn't attach a great deal of fantasy value moving forward. Factor in the healthy scoring diets of Antetokounmpo and Middleton and that leaves little for Matthews to feast on. Expect the off high scoring night from the two-guard but assess other options for a consistent spot in standard leagues.
Wesley Matthews was able to play through an ankle sprain during Monday's scrimmage. Matthews played 22 minutes and was 2-of-5 on three point shots scoring 6 points in the game.
Matthews has had some fairly consistent minutes throughout the season and is always a threat as a three-point shooter. Matthews will have some erratic fantasy value as the regular season resumes, but could have some value in daily fantasy if he can string together some games of consistent shooting.
Wesley Matthews put up nine points (2-11 FG, 1-5 3PT, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, two assists, and two steals over 31 minutes of play Monday night.
Even as the lone usual starter to see the court Monday night, Matthews failed to see any kind of fantasy bump. He'll continue to see his share of minutes in the Bucks lineup but doesn't compile enough stats to be worthy of fantasy consideration in most formats.
