Willie Cauley-Stein to join Warriors

Former Kings big man Willie Cauley-Stein will sign with the Golden State Warriors.

Fantasy Impact

Cauley-Stein will sign with the Warriors and add even more front-court depth to a team that just re-signed Kevon Looney. Cauley-Stein averaged 11.9 points and a career-high 8.4 boards in just over 27 minutes per game last season for Sacramento, and he has a good shot to open next season as the Warriors’ starting center.

Willie Cauley-Stein was extended a qualifying offer by the Kings, making him an restricted free agent.

Fantasy Impact

Cauly-Stein should draw some interest in the open market, but struggled with consistency during the 2018-19 season. It remains to be seen how much the Kings are willing to match any offer. Cauly-Stein averaged 11.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 81 games for the Kings last season.

Willie Cauley-Stein contributes 17 points against the Spurs

Willie Cauley-Stein put in 17 points, six rebounds and two steals in 30 minutes of game action on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Marvin Bagley wasn't in for this one so Cauley-Stein's performance is a tad underwhelming but he still had a solid outing. Cauley-Stein is still a good play down the stretch.

Willie Cauley-Stein snags seven rebounds in Houston

Willie Cauley-Stein put in six points, seven rebounds and one dime in 24 minutes of game action on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

WCS cooled off considerably in his matchup with Clint Capela but continues to be a solid fantasy option, especially when Harry Giles and Nemanja Bjelica are out.

Willie Cauley-Stein plays big on Thursday

Willie Cauley-Stein put in 18 points, 12 rebounds, four dimes and two blocks in 35 minutes of game action on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Cauley-Stein benefitted from Nemanja Bjelica playing just eight minutes because of an illness but impressed nonetheless, posting his first double-double in four contests. It's crowded in Sacramento, but it seems there's enough to go around for everyone, and with Bjelica likely to miss another game with the illness, WCS should be a solid DFS option next time out as well.
