Austin Rivers scores 21 points in win over the Trailblazers
Austin Rivers totaled 21 points (7-14 FG, 5-10 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, and one block in the Nuggets' 120-115 win over the Trailblazers on Thursday.
Rivers scored 21.0 points in the Nuggets' win over the Trailblazers while stuffing several categories of the stat-sheet in the process, easily making this his best game since the Nuggets' bout against the Knicks back on May 5th when he scored 25.0 points. There was only one time this regular season in which he was able to extend his double-digit scoring efforts past three games; he had a strong game but be sure to put it into context, even when looking for strong plays on these value-starved slates. He has a low ceiling that opens once in a "blue moon," and a glass floor that can crack at any time. Be careful if planning to make him a last-piece asset for your lineups. There is a chance that he has found his rhythm and could finish the series strong, but you have to decide if you want to take that risk for what could be an underwhelming reward.
