Wilson Chandler is a no go for Orlando

In speaking with ESPN, Wilson Chandler told them of his decision to opt-out of playing in Orlando this July.

Citing family and health reasons for his decision, Chandler joins a handful of peers who have decided to opt-out of participating in the NBA restart. The Nets are now able to sign a replacement in his absence. In result of his decision, he will forfeit a minimum of $1.2 million of his $2.3 million salary this year. Chandler has played 35 games this season and averaged 5.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. This move creates more opportunities in the Net’s front-court. An obvious candidate to see an uptick in time and potential usage is Taurean Prince; however, Kurucs and Luwawu-Cabarrot could also get a chance to increase their contribution to the team. There may be some sneaky value here for deep-league play, but it would be best to take a wait-and-see approach at this time.
