Jaime Garcia allowed five runs on four hits in 2 1/3 innings on Sunday against the Blue Jays. Garcia struck out four and walked three, snapping a four start streak with two earned runs or fewer allowed. He has a 4.41 ERA this season and will face the Blue Jays in New York on September 29.
Sonny Gray allowed one run on four hits in six innings against the Blue Jays on Saturday. Gray walked three and struck out four, allowing just a home run for Teoscar Hernandez. He has a 3.31 ERA this season and will face the Rays on September 28 in New York.
Masahiro Tanaka allowed eight runs (seven earned) on six hits in 5 2/3 innings on Friday against the Blue Jays. Tanaka walked three and struck out six, but also allowed three home runs to bring his season total to 35. He has a 4.94 ERA this seasosn and will face the Rays in New York on September 27.
Luis Severino allowed three runs on five hits in three innings against the Twins on Wednesday. Severino walked one and struck out three, working a few days early so the Yankees could squeeze more starts out of him. He has a 3.03 ERA this season and will face the Rays in New York on September 26.
Aroldis Chapman allowed one hit in a clean ninth inning against the Twins on Tuesday. Chapman struck out one batters without a walk in earning his 20th save of the season. He has a 3.50 ERA and 1.23 WHIP this season.
