Luis Severino struggles

Luis Severino allowed three runs on five hits in three innings against the Twins on Wednesday. Severino walked one and struck out three, working a few days early so the Yankees could squeeze more starts out of him. He has a 3.03 ERA this season and will face the Rays in New York on September 26.

Severino has made four starts this month and has a 2.25 ERA in 24 innings, posting three quality starts. He is 8-2 in the second half, posting a 2.34 ERA. Severino now has a 3.86 ERA at home this season (91 innings) and is 1-1 against the Rays this season, allowing three runs in 12 innings.
