Jay Cutler to join Fox in broadcasting booth

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting free agent quarterback Jay Cutler has agreed to join Fox Sports. He will likely announce his retirement on Friday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Cutler will join the Fox Sports' NFL "B" team on Sundays alongside Kevin Burkhardt and fill the vacancy left by new 49ers general manager John Lynch. Although he has yet to officially announce his retirement, an announcement is expected to come Friday afternoon. Cutler, 34, has played 11 seasons in the NFL with the Denver Broncos (2006-2008) and the Chicago Bears (2009-2016). He'll finish his career with 32,467 yards passing, 208 touchdowns, 146 interceptions, a 61.8 completion percentage and an 85.7 rating.
