Lucky Whitehead's charges dropped

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Dave Rich, the agent of former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead, told the media that all charges were dropped that pertains to his client and his June 2017 incident in Virginia. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Rich also added that Whitehead's warrant was dropped as the "police had the wrong guy." The Cowboys, who released the wideout Monday after learning of his June incident, didn't submit the paperwork for his transaction on time. Therefore, he remains a member of the team, for now, per Rapoport. There will be greater clarity on Whitehead's status on the Cowboys at the close of business Tuesday.
