Carlos Henderson to undergo surgery

Denver Broncos beat writer Nicki Jhabvala is reporting wide receiver Carlos Henderson (thumb) will undergo thumb surgery Sunday. (Nicki Jhabvala on Twitter)

Henderson, a third-round pick in April's draft, will undergo a thumb surgery for an undisclosed injury. The team will not know the extent of the injury or a timetable for his return until post-op. The early favorite to open the 2017 season as Denver's WR3, Henderson will likely lose that job to Bennie Fowler or Cody Latimer if he misses extended time.
